What To Expect
Travel with Lama Travel & Tours. 07 Nights/08 Days. In this trip you will cover most of the places such as Muscat city, major touristic destinations Amouage Factory , Nizwa fort & Souq, Jabreen castle, Bahla fort, Jabel Shams, Mountain, Hiking, Grand Canyon, Wahiba Sands (Desert), Ras al Hadd, Ras al Jinz (Turtle watching), Sur Costal route.
You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon your arrival, you will be met by one of your professional driver-cum-tour guides and will be transferred to Muscat Hotel.
Your overnight stay will be arranged at Muscat Hotel.
After having an early breakfast at the hotel, you will head for a Muscat City tour. First, you will visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque – the must-see mosque in the Sultanate of Oman. After immersing in its rich history and heritage.
Then, you will reach the Mutrah Souq – retains the chaotic interest of a traditional Arab market housed under the modern timber roofing facility. You will stop at Al Alam Palace or Sultan Palace – the ceremonial palace of the majesty Sultan Qaboos.
Then, head to Portuguese forts – stand out as the remnants of the Portuguese occupation in Oman. Your overnight will be at Muscat Hotel.
You will enjoy an early morning breakfast at the hotel and will prepare for a leave from Muscat. Then, you will drive to Wadi Arbayeen – one of the most appealing outdoor adventures in Oman. While getting there, you should take a dip in the refreshing water in the pool and enjoy walking along the wadi experience its serenity.
Then you will make a stop at Bimmah Sinkhole – the water-filled depression, ideally a sinkhole in the limestone of eastern Muscat. You will enjoy seeing the crystal clear waters, towering cliffs you normally see on holiday postcards.
After stopping there for a while, you will again start your journey to Wadi Shab – means the “Gorge between the cliffs”. You will walk through the visually appealing canyon and enjoy taking a refreshing dip in the pool.
Then you will reach Ras al Hadd – the breeding ground for green turtles.Your overnight will be at Ras al Hadd.
You will have a breakfast in Ras al Hadd, you will head straight to Sur Dhow Factory – combining the juxtaposition of a modern masterpiece with the ancient workshop. There, you will see dhows of many varieties and sizes.
After that, you will start driving to reach Wadi Bani Khalid – the well-known wadi around the Sharqiyah region. Its popularity is due to the fact that the stream maintains the constant flow of water throughout the year. You will even take photographs there.
Then, you will head to the Wahiba Sands – the desert wonder of the Sultanate of Oman. Your overnight will be at the Wahiba Sands.
You will enjoy an early breakfast at the Wahiba Sands and will drive to Sinaw Souq – best-known for souks and cattle market. It’s located between the Wahiba Sands and the edge of Empty Quarter boasting an unexpected buzzing energy.
Then, you will stop over at Nizwa Fort – once the capital of Sultanate of Oman. You will even enjoy shopping at traditional and craft souq. After that, you will visit Birkat al Moze to introduce yourself to Omani history and rich heritage.
Your overnight will be at Nizwa Fort.
You will take your breakfast at Nizwa Fort and enjoy shopping at traditional souq. Then you’ll head straight to the most beautiful yet historic castle in Oman – Jabreen Castle. It’s nothing but a beautiful palace built in the times of peace.
After that, you will stop at Bahal Fort – one of the four historic fortresses situated atop of the Djebel Akhdar highlands in the Sultanate of Oman.
Then you will reach Misfat Al Abriyeen – an exceptional mountainous village located around 1,000 m above sea level on the mountain foothills – encircled by Wilayat Al Hamra in Al Dhakhiyla Governorate.
Your overnight will be Misfah Old House.
Enjoy your breakfast at the Misfah Old House and continue exploring Misfat Al Abriyeen. then you will take a trip along Al Hamra – a home to mountainous villages including Misfat Al Abriyeen.
After that, you will reach Bait Sifah Museum in Al Hamra. It’s a quirky museum and an open house rather than a historical display.
Continue your trip to Wadi Nakhar – the spectacular Oman Wadi and enjoy taking a refreshing dip at the pool. Then you will head to Jebel Shams – “The Mountain of Sun”, located in northeastern Oman north of the Al Hamra town.
Your overnight will be at Jebel Shams.
After a breakfast at Jebel Shams, you will continue driving to Bilad Sayt – a mountainous village based on the Al Hajar Mountains near the Jebel Shams.
Then you will stop at Snake Canyon – nature’s water park with full of pools and cliffs as well as natural water slides. After stopping there for a while, you will visit Wadi Bani Awf – the rugged, remote part of the country.
After that, you will make a stop at Nakhal Fort – a large fortification located in the Al Batinah Region of Oman, named after the Wilayah of Nakhal. Enjoy visiting this prominent historical monument in the Sultanate with Oman Safari Tour.
You will return to Muscat and will drive to Muscat International Airport to catch a flight to back home.
